Geoffrey Goodsell, 13 Levetts Lane,
The vicar and churchwarden of St Giles have put in a lot of work for the new Bishop of Chichester who we all hope perhaps will be at St Giles round about 10.40am today (Friday October 4). At round about 11am he will go into our Church of England Primary School. Perhaps the best place to see the bishop will be at the two bus stops in the village or the one at Levetts Lane. Put your hand out (or perhaps not) as he may be in a hurry. St Giles Harvest Service takes place at 11.15am on October 6 and for sure, Gordon the vicar will take the service.
We have too many people in and out of hospital in the village and to some of them, how unfair can life be? And all we can do is talk to them. But I do feel how brave the people can be. I know I would not be.
Bookings are now being taken for the new £1.5m sports centre at Claremont Senior School in Bodiam. For information or to book call Emma on 01424 751555.
FC Westridge are yet to record a single point as I write in the East Sussex Football League Division Six. The next fixture is on October 5 and will be the Sussex Bluefin Junior Cup Round One and Westridge takes on Racing Palmeire. Also on that day Hurst Geren Juniors play a fixture all at the Bodiam Recreation Ground.
