Geoffrey Goodsell, 13 Levetts Lane
BODIAM Church of England Primary School has a number of clubs including football, netball, film and science. All clubs finish promptly at 4.15pm. Phone the school for more details on these.
Tempest Photography will be at the school on November 36 taking individual and sibling photographs. Siblings within the school will have their photographs taken in the morning.
The residents of Levetts Lane raised a total of £245 for the late Vera Sims. Of this £45 went to a floral tribute and the rest to Vera’s charity of choice Cancer Research UK. A big thank you to all.
Due to retirement, St Giles’ Church is looking for more flower arrangers. If anyone can help, please phone me on 01580 830211 and I will pass your name on.
Training is not necessary and you don’t need to spend a fortune on flowers.
The next parish council meeting is on November 18 at 7pm in the Parish Room.
I now have the St Giles Church Christmas cards with ten cards and envelopes available for £4 a pack. All money will go to the church.
Please call me on 01580 830211 if you would like some.
The editorial team of the Parish News offer sincere apologies for the October edition not being printed due to exceptional circumstances. I was not very happy, all I could read for that month was the very good Battle Observer and the Racing Post. I was not very happy that I could not read Gordon, our vicar’s letter.
All roads lead to Bodiam for the Castle Inn bonfire and fireworks display which starts at 6.30pm. Live music at 8.30pm. Everyone is welcome. For more information call 01580 830330.
I am sorry to have to say this but do not post letters in the Levetts Lane post box. go to the one in the village. it is not the first time that I have put a letter in the Levetts Lane post box that has not reached its destination.
I have sent a letter to the Royal Mail services about this but I will post it in Hastings with a first class stamp like I do all my letters in the hope that I will get a first class service.
