Half Marathon: Viv the Clerk will have the runs on the 14th June for Cancer Research UK, she is to run a Half Marathon in St Albans. If anyone can still help with sponsorship for this worthwhile charity please phone 830211 or 765554.

New Residents: Bodiam has some new residents. Wharf Cottage which was the home of William Past, the number two at Bodiam Castle, who now has a home at Staplecross and was pushed out by the National Trust so that the Trust could get more rent. Hunters Lodge is now sold, the home of Helen Dawson will perhaps soon have new residents, number 18 Levetts Lane is up for sale, perhaps will be sold soon. It seems that Bodiam is all about perhaps in so many ways.

Cricket: The cricket club are away to Crowhurst on the 14th June with a start of 2.30 pm.

School Sports: The Bodiam Church of England Primary School Sports afternoon will take place on the 15th June, if wet 16th June at the Bodiam Recreation Ground. Sorry to hear that Barbara Golby, the School Secretary will be leaving on June 15th to take up a secretarial position at Saxon Mount School in Hastings.

Bodiam Castle: is to celebrate the Anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta on the 15th June at 2.30 p.m.
