Parish Council: The next meeting is on the 19th October, 7 p.m. in the Parish Room (not the 13th October).

Bodiam Castle: Happy times will soon be at Bodiam Castle, Father Christmas will be in his Grotto each weekend in December and also Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd from 10.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. But why do the National Trust entertain the little people with stories of past Christmas Traditions, from what I know of a lot of little people they just like to go back home and open the present from the Old Boy and move on to the next one.

The Mobile Library: comes to Levetts Lane on the 8th October 11.30 - 11.55 a.m.

The Parish News: is a lively and newsy Parish magazine which is available at St Giles Church or at the Castle Inn, price £1 or by subscription £5 per year. The magazine accepts advertising and editorial submissions. Contact the Editor, Liz Moore, Meadow Cottage, Rye Road, Hawkhurst, Kent TN18 5DW, Phone 01580 752052

Harvest Festival: The next service at St Giles is the Harvest Festival on the 4th October at 11.15 a.m. The Vicar of Bodiam will take the service. Do not forget the Pub Quiz on the 7th October at the Castle Inn with a 7.30 p.m. start. Tickets £12 each including supper, all proceeds to St Giles. For more information phone Van Keeling on 01580 850342.

Primary School: It seems sometimes that our Church of England Primary School do not like to make contributions in the Village Voice or the Parish News but on the 6th October a School Harvest Service will take place in St Giles at 9.30 a.m. all of Bodiam is very welcome.
