Snowfall: the snow falling on Bodiam was not as significant as some parts of the county. The gritting lorries came out, the 349 bus came from Hastings to Hawkhurst and was on time at Bodiam. The Castle Inn was open with great food, the paperboys did their best but the postman could not get round. Bodiam Church of England Primary School was not open. The parish council had a meeting and after the meeting went into the snow. I’m sure everyone made it home, I’ve not had any phone calls.

Wish Valley Surgery: in the booklet called information for patients from the Wish Valley Surgery it explains extended opening hours on a Tuesday evening from 6:30 PM for pre-booked appointments only. It will not be possible to access a full range of services during the extended hour.

Parish council meeting: the next meeting of the parish council is March 19 at 7 PM in the parish room. The parish assembly is on March 22 at 7 PM for 7:30 PM. Refreshments will be available from 7 PM. The parish council will report on the work of the past year and reports have also been invited from the primary school, Rother Valley Railway, Bodiam Cricket Club. Rother Council and East Sussex County Council will report on the past year and a lot more.
