Stagecoach: run the 349 bus service, which takes in the village, and are offering cheaper day, evening and week tickets as they encourage passengers to switch to mobile ticketing. The Stagecoach bus app is available free on Android and Apple (ios).

Hedge cutting: We have someone from Bodiam or just outside the village, cutting hedges in the village with no permission from the landowner.

Why not talk to the Parish Council?

The hedge cutting has taken place at the Recreation Ground and now someone has taken about six feet off the top of the hedge by the seat, near the footpath at the top of the hill to the village.

If anyone would like to cut a hedge, ask the Chairman of the Parish Council, he has a hedge which could do with a cut, but get permission from him first.

The Parish Council have not, as yet, contacted the police but will say ‘what hedge do we hide behind’.

As for many years: it will be all roads to Bodiam Castle Inn for bonfire and fireworks on November 9 at 6.30pm. Free parking is available at Bodiam Castle. For more information call 01580 830330.
