The parish council has ordered an oak tree for the Jubilee celebrations. The plaque for the oak tree has arrived and is safe in the clerk’s bedroom.

Claremont School is to have a Faure Requiem on Saturday June 30, 7pm, at All Saints Church in Hastings. Entry free of charge but there will be a retiring collection in aid of the Tigers in Afghanistan, the welfare fund of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment.

The Flower Festival and Jubilee Plant Sale in St Giles Church on July 14/15, from 10am-4.30pm on both days. Entrance is free, donations welcome, all in aid of church funds. For the event Levetts Lane Residents Association is asking everyone to plant up their old shoes (but make sure you have a pair left) and this will make a display down the church path.
