- I do hope that one of our very senior residents had a very good birthday. Helen Dawson, who is not one to hide her age, was 89. What a birthday for next year, Helen. Helen has not been in the best of health, but would like to thank her young daughter and her family for all the help and support that she had from them over the years and she cannot go on without them.

- A playgroup meeting will take place on February 27, 3.30pm at the Bodiam CE Primary School.

- Last week it was reported in the Bodiam Village Voice that Bodiam Castle was not holding any special event to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

This is incorrect and the Observer would like to apologise for this error.
