Bognor Regis dog training club member's Crufts success

Special mention was made at Bognor Regis and District Dog Training Club's annual meeting of a young member's success at Crufts.

Georgina Krall (16) achieved a commendable fifth place in the famous dog show held at the NEC Birmingham as a reward for her hard work over many months.

She took part in the Young Kennel Club's elementary obedience with her Cavalier King Charles called Pippa.

Her achievement was the highlight of another successful year for the club.

Its training classes in Felpham have again been well attended.

The present officers were all re-elected. New committee members '“ Janet Baldwin, Christine Whittington, Yvonne Tye and Sue Ryder '“ were welcomed.

Special mention was also made of the 1,500 which the club had raised for the Brent Lodge Bird and Wildlife Hospital from last year's companion dog show.

The 2008 show will take place on June 22 at the Jubilee Fields off Chalcraft Lane in North Bersted. The proceeds will go to the Sussex Animal Rescue.

The club's new term starts on April 4 and 5 at Felpham Village Memorial Hall.
