BOGUS OFFICIALS STRIKE AGAIN

At about 11.45am on July 26, two men called at the home of an elderly resident in the area of Main Road, Hadlow Down.

One of the men asked if the water pressure could be turned down due to problems elsewhere.

He did have in his possession a white in colour ID card. The man then went to the kitchen with the lady.

Whilst there the second male came into the kitchen asked if the first man needed any help and then was thought to have left.

The second man is believed to have gone upstairs and searched the rooms.

Both men have then left after a short time.

Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Both men were described as being medium build, late 30s '“ early 40s, between 5ft 10in, '“ 6ft tall.

One was wearing a striped top and the other man had an Irish accent.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these males or have any information regarding this or a similar incident.
