Bonfire night road closures

DRIVERS could end up with a parking ticket or, worse still, see their car towed away, if they clog up the route for Littlehampton's annual bonfire procession next weekend.

Road closures will be set up so that the spectacular torchlit parade of bonfire societies, carnival "royalty", marching bands, traction engines and street collectors can make its way safely through the town centre and down to the seafront for the massive bonfire and firework display.

The Littlehampton Bonfire Safety Group has warned that parking regulations will be enforced by Sussex Police and any vehicles illegally parked may be ticketed or towed away. Car parking bays in Sea Road will be closed all day and evening.
