A crash involving two cars on the A21 in Hurst Green has left two people in hospital today (Friday, February 11).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Battle and Wadhurst rescued one casualty from the crash wreckage at around 2.10pm
Two South East Coast Ambulance Service ambulances and three cars assessed and treated them at the scene before they were immobilised for potential injuries and taken to Conquest Hospital.
The crash was caused by a southbound car hitting bollards and then a car coming in the opposite direction.
The driver of the southbound car was rescued by fire crews who left the scene at 3.35pm.
The road is blocked at the Station Road junction but is currently being cleared by the highways authority and they have already opened one lane.
