Brede Church Bellringers will be erecting a Christmas tree again outside the church at the beginning of December to coincide with the Church’s Christmas Tree Festival. If you would like to donate £1.00 and dedicate a light in memory of a loved one or for a special occasion please put your name and dedication in an envelope and drop it in to Andrew Burchett, Alexandra Cottage, Stubb Lane, Brede, TN31 6EJ or give to any of the bellringers. You may also make donations at the Friday Farmers’ Market (on the apple stall) or at the Christmas Tree Festival on December 8 and 9. The proceeds this year are being shared between the Church for Christmas lighting costs and the repair fund for the church clock which was installed about 200 years ago, is a rather unusual timepiece and in need of an overhaul. Local individuals and organisations are invited to take part in the Christmas Tree Festival at the Church from Friday, December 7, to Sunday, December 9. by decorating a tree with the theme of the ’12 days of Christmas’ or other appropriate carol.
