Easter Sunday I drove through the village and thought how beautiful it looked in its spring splendour. St Georges Church was filled with adults and children and many partook of Vicky’s delicious little cakes with chocolate eggs on top afterwards. Bank Holiday Monday was glorious and I made the most of it in the garden, as did many of my neighbours.
Friday 10 April Pilates is at 9am in Udimore Community Hall. Brede Farmers Market is open from 10am–12noon in Brede Village Hall a good place to socialize as well as shopping for the weekend. It has a good stock of fruit veg, meat, fish, dairy, bakery, plants, cards, Indian cookery, and Peter’s home made Apple Juice from his orchard. Read his monthly news in the Brede Parish Magazine. The Short Mat Bowlers meet at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.
Saturday 11 April I apologise, as there was a private party last Saturday so the Village Dance is this evening in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. If you are a Ballroom or sequence dancer then put on those dancing shoes and I hope you have fun.

Monday 13 April Back to Normal, holidays are sadly over. Yoga is in Udimore Community Hall at 9.30am. In Brede Village Hall, Age Uk East Sussex -Brede Community Club begins at 10.30am until 3pm For more information contact Maureen the Coordinator by phoning 07850987130. All the uniformed groups are back beginning at 4.00pm when Rainbows meet in the Brede Village Hall small hall, as do Brownies at 5.30pm. The Brede Scout sections are all held in the Scout Hut Stubbs Lane Brede: Beavers begin at 5.15pm and Cubs at 6.30pm.Whist is at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall and Guides are in Udimore Community Hall at 7.15pm
Tuesday 14 April Pilates at 9am then Flamenco dancing at 12 noon. both activities in Udimore Community Hall. Painting for pleasure group meet at 9.30am in Brede Village Hall. Brede Scout groups is back tonight at 7pm in the Scout Hut.
Wednesday 15 April Pilates at 9am then a coffee morning at 11.30am both in Udimore Community Hall. The Mobile Library visits Reedswood Road 13.25 - 14.00 then the bus will be at Brede Village Hall 14 .10 – 14.40 Brede Parish Assembly at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall. One of the guest speakers will be Katy Bourne the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner. Do go and hear what she has to say and ask your questions. If you have a group in the Village you are invited to go earlier to put up a table or board with your groups information on. In the interval there will be a chance to mingle and ask questions about village activities and clubs and of course about the Parish Council.
Thursday16 April Pilates at 9am in Udimore Community Hall. Stretch & Tone 9.30am in Brede Village Hall with Sally. In the small hall the Doctor’s surgery is at 12 noon, followed at 2pm in the Large Hall with the Rye & District National Trust Association talk about Mrs Ronald Greville and Polsden Lacey by historian Heather Woodward.
