St George’s friend: Tim Singleton passed away a week ago it was such sad news. Tim had actively produced the posters etc for the Flower Festival for many years. His health had declined over the past year, never the less it is sad to loose one of the congregation and a lovely man. I am sure God will look after him and I ask you in joining us to say a prayer for him and his family.

Strike Back against Cancer. Julie McDonnell who has leukaemia (CML)is a very brave lady, she and the Bell Ringer from Brede and other Churches in Sussex have organised a national ringing event for today the 25th June 2016 to help raise vital funds for research and give other blood cancer sufferers a chance of life.
The aim is to raise £100,00 and to add 1,000 potential stem cell donors to the Anthony Nolan Trust and associated registers.
They are walking the historic Pilgrims Way from Wye to Canterbury Cathedral with ringing at Churches along the route. Amazingly the momentum has grown and Julie has been contacted by The Arch Bishop of Canterbury, and others in Britain. The Vatican and the Dele Llama have also been in touch as well as thousands of Churches and Bell ringers around the World and from every Continent. Julie has done remarkably well and I really wish her and the team good weather for their walk and hope she reaches her target.
If you would like to join in the route it is about 14 miles you can email email@example.com and you will be sent all the details. Here are the Webb address’s hhtp://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/bellringersstrikeback also hhtps://www.facebook.com/allstand2gether
