Last Saturday evening those who attended ‘Musical for a Summers Evening.’ Would like to thank Mr Duncan Reid who played a piece on the Piano to begin the concert also Gary Marriott and Jan Reeves who sang mainly Ivor Novello songs accompanied by Duncan. It was an amusing and delightful evening, which ended with a delicious buffet supper supplied by the Friends and some of the Church congregation. Many thanks to all who made this a wonderful evening.

Friday 6 June Pilates at 9am, followed by the Wea Practical Gardening Course from 11.15 – 1.15pm both in Udimore Hall. Once a month from 6th June there is a follow on Gardening Course 1.15pm – 3.15pm. Registration takes place today, for more information please contact Jackie White 01424 815292. Brede Village Hall has the Brede Farmers Market beginning at 10am until midday a multitude of fresh food and plant stalls await the morning shoppers. Later in the Hall at 7.30pm the Short Mat bowlers will hold their session.

Saturday 7 June At 9.30am the Blackbrook Garden Centre’s hold their weekly garden talk. The cost is £2.00 and includes coffee.

Sunday 8 June The Family Eucharist begins at 9.30am in St Georges Brede Mrs C Thacker leads the Methodist Church worship at 10.30am in Broad Oak. Our Cricket team need some luck and some more players. This week they are playing at home against Clive Vale. So good luck to you all!. The Rainbow Trout have the Mix Beats playing at 8.30pm if you fancy a Sunday evening out.

The Uniformed groups meet this evening beginning with the Rainbows In the small Hall at 4.00pm followed at 5.30pm by the Brownies.

In the Scout Hut Beavers begin at 5.30pm to 6.30pm this is for 6 – 8 year olds and from 6.30 – 8.00pm Cubs which is for 8 - 10½ year olds.

Guides meet at Udimore Hall at 7.15pm.

In Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm the Whist Players will still be meeting to enjoy each other’s company and have a game of cards.

Tuesday 10 June At 9am Pilates is in Udimore Hall. The Brede Painting for Pleasure group gather at 9.30am to relax and paint in Brede Village Hall. The Mobile Library, visits Oakhill Drive at 3pm and Reedswood Road at 3.50pm.

The Rainbow Trout holds it’s Local Night in the bar, this evening it is eyes down for Bingo at 8pm.

Wednesday 11 June Brede WI are holding their summer lunch this afternoon at midday in Udimore Village Hall (please note the time and venue change.) Yoga is at Udimore Hall at 7pm.

Thursday 12 June Stretch and Tone at 9.30am with Sally in Brede Village Hall. At the side of the Hall the Doctors Surgery is at midday. The Mobile Library visits Brede in the Village Hall car park at 1.25pm. The Monthly meeting of Friendly Circle is this evening at 7.30pm and the speaker is Sally Bickersteth talking about the Project for Women in Malawi. Visitors are always welcome.

Friday 13 June Pilates begins at 9am then the Wea Practical Gardening Course from 11.15 – 1.15pm in Udimore Hall. The weekly Farmers Market in Brede Village Hall is open from 10am –12pm. Short Mat Bowls are in the Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm.

Saturday 14 June An all day event at the Rainbow Trout – Norsemen Poker for the Bikers Run
