Burwash

Cricket - ast Sunday the Burwash cricket club held a club day with a special cricket match against Jamaica Inn, with a barbecue, bouncy castle and bar. It was a lovely sunny day with a good show of people attending. The match was played in good spirit with some great shots and good bowling. The club are always looking for new members to help swell their numbers. Burwash Weald cricket club are also hoping for new players. This very English village sport is great fun and a good social event. Talk - Rene Caisse was a Canadian Cancer nurse, a pioneer in cancer care. Tonight Audrey Wright will give a talk on this remarkable lady who struggled to get her remedy for cancer and other illnesses accepted for some 50 years. The talk is being held in The Pavilion at Burwash common at 7.30pm. tonight. Audfrey would be delighted for you all to go along and listen to her fascinating talk on this amazing lady. Coffee - St Philip’s Church hold a coffee and chat event on the 2nd Wednesday of the month through the summer. The next one will be on wednesday morning at 10.30am in the Church vestry. There will allso be a bring and buy stall. Everyone is welcome to go along.

BLG - The Burwash ladies group will be meeting on Wednesday at the Burwash village hall from 2.15pm. Their guest speaker is Peot, Kate Tym with peoms of life, love & domestic dreams. Guests and new members are always welcome to join the ladies.

Car Wash - Tomorrow morning the burwash scouts will be busy with their car wash, ar the Bear car park club room from 20am until 2pm. It will cost £5 for a small car to be done and £7 for a large one. All the proceeds will go to their gorup funds.
