Flats and shops in Battle’s historic and picturesque High Street are coming up at auction this month.
They are among 180 lots in the auction being held by independent regional land and property auctioneer Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.
The properties are being offered at Clive Emson’s regional Sussex and Surrey sale in Brighton on Wednesday, October 31.
A block of four flats at 65 High Street, currently fully let at £23,612 per annum, has a freehold guide price of £290,000 to £300,000.
Senior auction valuer Emma Attrell said: “This is a well-presented property comprising four self-contained flats, each let to provide a good income.
“While the property is currently let, it is also considered that the four flats could be reconfigured to create one large maisonette, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”
Two retail units at 61-62 High Street, currently let at £26,900 per annum, are offered jointly with Meridian Surveyors with a leasehold guide price of £275,000 to £280,000 on a new 999-year lease.
Emma added: “These shops are at the heart of the town centre among retailers such as Boots, Costa Coffee and Fat Face and we consider them ideal for continued investment.”
A mixed residential and commercial building at 87 High Street is offered jointly with Meridian Surveyors with a £125,000 to £130,000 freehold guide price.
Situated on the east side of the street opposite Battle Abbey, the property comprises a ground floor coffee shop generating £11,500 per annum and a first floor flat sold on a 99-year lease at a current ground rent of £100 per annum.
Auction valuer Chris Milne said: “The property is considered ideal for continued investment.
