The Hastings based charity supports unpaid carers in East Sussex to continue their caring role by providing free, high quality care-led services that encourage independence and reduce isolation.

The Association is looking for people who already have experience of being a trustee, chairing a group and who also have a good understanding of what it is like to care for someone. Meetings take place at the Association of Carers offices in Hastings on Thursday afternoons once monthly. Travel expenses are reimbursed.

Chairperson Jennifer Allen said: “Trustees can learn and develop skills which may open up new opportunities for them, as well as meeting people who share their passion. If you’re looking for the chance to ‘give something back’, please contact us.”
