A serious case review is to be held into the events surrounding the fatal shooting of Mary Shipstone at Northiam.
Mary Shipstone was shot twice in the head by her father outside her home on 11 September.
Yasser Alromisse turned the gun on himself after the shooting. Mary died in hospital the following day.
The youngster had recently moved to the village with her mother, who had separated from her husband after being the victim of domestic violence.
She had previously been at Camber but was moved to Northiam.
The review will be carried out by the East Sussex Local Safeguarding Children Board.
It will involve multiple agencies and will seek to establish if mistakes were made, and what lessons can be learned.
A serious case review has to be held where a child dies, or abuse or neglect is suspected.
