Cash boost for cancer care
A £1,000 cheque is about to be handed over by the Pagham and Nyetimber support group towards the cancer care day unit appeal at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester.
Group chairwoman Anne Wood thanked all those who had given donations.
'We do need this unit and we do need St Richard's,' she said.
'Having to go all the way to Portsmouth every day for treatment is horrendous.'
The cheque is the latest result of Mrs Wood's constant fundraising to improve facilities at St Richard's.
