Sport: The cricket club are definitely on a winning streak, our second game last Saturday against Hastings Wanderers resulted in a win. We batted first with David Taylor 27, Derek Fuller 80 and Tim Pitman 42 not out again contributing to our total of 217 for 4 wickets at tea. Wanderers were 167 all out, Tim Pitman getting 3 wickets, Andy Williams, Tom Bristow-Diamond and Derek Longley all getting 2 wickets each and Nick Gurr 1. It was a lovely day and the wicket is playing well. Just as well as we host the Sussex Girls Under 12’s playing Dorset on Saturday commencing at 1pm. We were very pleased to be able to offer them our ground last year and delighted they are coming again. Do come and watch as their skill, energy and sportsmanship is an example to all cricketers. Sunday we play away on the Downs at Bexhill against Parkhurst from 2.30 onwards. The Playing Field is going to be very busy this weekend with the rounders match Sunday afternoon and the footballers playing football golf on Monday afternoon. Lots of work for the volunteer groundsman.

Mobile Library: Next Friday 29th May the East Sussex Mobile Library will be in its usual place outside the Village Hall at 11.55am – 12.30pm.
