Champion Nick's piste de resistance

AN Officer wounded in Afghanistan's Helmand province is celebrating skiing success just six months after being injured.

Captain Nick Binnington (30) from Thakeham suffered a shrapnel wound to his leg after a Taliban ambush attack when on patrol last year.

He said: I have the bit of shrapnel removed from my leg and it sits on my desk and sometimes that's a bit of a reminder of where I've come from and what I have achieved subsequent to that.
