The Battle and Robertsbridge District of the East Sussex Disability Association raised £255 with a successful street collection on May 30.
Money raised from the collection will benefit disabled people in Battle, Robertsbridge and the surrounding area who enjoy a monthly outing for lunch or tea in specially adapted coaches with a tailgate lift enabling easy access for wheelchairs and mobilisers.
The East Sussex Disability Association is a registered charity with 70 years experience in supporting disabled people.
It campaigns for better access and equality.
Honorary treasurer Richard Price said “Our thanks are due to everyone concerned with the collection and who donated.
“If any reader is interested in learning more about our organisation our Head Office in Eastbourne can be contacted on 01323 514500 or at www.esda.org.uk”.
