Conquest - Mother's Day rally
DEMONSTRATORS are holding a rally on Monther's Day to urge NHS chiefs not to downgrade maternity services at the Conquest hospital.
Members of the Hands Off The Conquest campaign, together with their Eastbourne counterparts from Save the DGH, will be protesting on March 18 from 3pm at the bandstand in Alexandra Park.
Margaret Williams, chairman of Hands Off The Conquest, said: "As the maternity facilities are currently being targeted, we decided to join forces for a Mother's Day Rally at Alexandra Park.
"We would like as many mothers and children there as possible."
