Corpus Christi procession at Arundel

This year it marked the 150th anniversary of the 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous saying a beautiful lady '“ later believed to be the Virgin Mary '“ had appeared to her at Lourdes.

Many visitors stayed on for the stately procession of the Blessed Sacrament last Thursday.

It left the cathedral following High Mass at 5.30pm, which had been presided over by Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muoz, the Apostolic Nuncio to the Court of St James.
