Court results from the Observer area

The following are court results for the Observer area from Hastings Magistrates' Court from July 6 - July 19.

July 6:

Jack Stockdale (aged 22), of London Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of herbal cannabis. The offence took place at Hastings on June 18. He was fined £75.

Patricia Warner (aged 64), of Monterey Gardens, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus at St Margarets Road, St Leonards, on June 18, while more than three times over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 110 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. The court made a community order and banned her from driving for two years.

Jade Westcott (aged 27), of Calgary Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. The offence took place at Bexhill on June 18. She was given a one year conditional discharge.

Edward Finch (aged 22), of Chiltern Drive, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Fiat Punto on the Ridge at Hastings, on May 2, with cocaine and cannabis in his blood stream. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for two years.

Marcin Pikulski (aged 34), of Cornwallis Terrace, Hastings, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. The offence took place at Robertson Street, Hastings on May 14. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis on the same day. He was fined £365.

Jordan Rose (aged 24), of New Moorsite, Westfield, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus on St Helens Road, Hastings, on June 16 while three times over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 105 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. The court made a community order with a requirement of 40 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 23 months.

Thomas McGuire (aged 61), of Fellows Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Hastings on June 7. He was fined £50.

July 7:

Sam Broad (aged 25), of Merrimede Close, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus at Cornwallis Street, Hastings, on February 20 with Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream. The court made a community order with a requirement of 40 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 20 months.

Paul Ribbons (aged 31), of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. The offence took place at Hastings on May 21. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

Connor Childs (aged 20), of Stowell Close, Ashford, Kent, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus on Stonehouse Drive, St Leonards, on May 4 with no insurance or MOT. He was fined £120.

July 13:

Matthew Baker (aged 42), of Parsons Close, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa on St Helens Road, Hastings on June 25 while twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 76 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £300 and banned from driving for three years.

Matthew Dolan (aged 55), of West Hill Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to sending two emails of a threatening nature. The offence took place at St Leonards on June 27. He also pleaded guilty to growing six cannabis plants at his St Leonards address. He was sentenced to four weeks in prison suspended for one year.

Phillip Lievesley (aged 56), of Chambers Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Aldborough Road, St Leonards, on June 23, while more than three times over the drink drive limit. The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 27 months.

Linda Oulsnam (aged 67), of West Hill Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis. The offence took place at Hastings on June 24. She was fined £300 and banned from driving for two years.

July 18:

Peter Glazier (aged 28), of Hollington Old Lane, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to four charges of assaulting a woman by beating her and a further charge of causing criminal damage to a door. The offences took place at Hastings on May 2 and 3 and on June 30 and July 1. He was sent to prison for six months, suspended for two years. The court also made a community order with a requirement of 160 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay a total of £200 in compensation.

July 19:

Sam Finch (aged 20) of Chiltern Drive, Hastings, was found guilty of assaulting a woman and occasioning her actual bodily harm. The offence took place at Hastings on February 12. The court made a community order with a requirement that he attend a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme. They also ordered him to pay compensation of £100 and £400 in prosecution costs.

Gavin Willox (aged 52), of Fairmount Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her. The offence took place at Sackville Road, Bexhill, on April 15. The court made a community order with a requirement of 150 hours of unpaid work and to attend a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme. The court also ordered him to pay £50 in compensation and issued a restraining order.
