Crews called to deliberate car fire in Lewes

A car was deliberately set on fire in Lewes on Saturday (March 12).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to Warren Drive at around 1.20am on Saturday, following reports of a car on fire.

One crew from Lewes attended the scene and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used 1-in-7 foam to put out the deliberate fire.

At 7.30pm the same day, a crew from Lewes was mobilised to Station Street following a fire in an industrial waste bin. Firefighters used one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
