58 people arrested in Hastings and Rother during sixth week of lockdown

Police arrested a total of 58 people in Hastings and Rother last week - the sixth in lockdown.

Police said people were detained on suspicion of a range of offences, including supply of class A drugs, knife possession, criminal damage, assault, drink driving, robbery and assault.

Hastings Police said: "Last week was busy once again for our officers, who made 58 arrests across the #Hastings and #Rother districts.

"During these unprecedented times, we are still working to keep the community safe and continue to combat criminal activity."

Police also reminded people to stay home to help save lives.

Last week's figures bring the total number of arrests during lockdown to 339.
