Armed police called to St Leonards residential road

Armed police officers were called to a residential road in St Leonards to arrest a wanted man.

An eyewitness said ‘loads of armed police’ were seen arriving in Charles Road, St Leonards, opposite Gensing Gardens at approximately 10am.

At 12.12pm, a Sussex Police spokesman said: “This was a pre-planned arrest of a wanted man, who is currently in custody.”
