A Crawley man has been arrested and charged with a series of thefts and burglaries from shops in Crawley, police have announced today (Sunday, February 12).

On its Twitter page, Crawley Police said: “Chris McCarthy, 39, of Cheviot Walk, Crawley, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary and theft from various retail outlets in the town."

Police added that he has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at the crown court on Thursday, March 2.
