Information sought after 160 sheep attacked by dog near Arundel

Police have appealed for information following a dog attack on a herd of sheep in Slindon.

The police appeal comes after 160 sheep, which were being kept in a field in Slindon near Arundel were attacked by a dog on Sunday (December 27).

The sheep broke through an electric fence during the attack and one sheep became stuck on its back as a result.

A police spokesman said it it not know what other damage may have been done to the sheep.

The Sussex Police spokesman said: "160 sheep kept in a 50 acre field in Slindon Arundel were attacked by a dog, this caused them to break through the electric fence. In the process one sheep became cast. At the moment it is not known what other damage may have occurred to the sheep."
