Large amount of fake cash dropped on A22 between Eastbourne and Hailsham
A large quantity of fake cash was found along the stretch of the A22 between Eastbourne and Hailsham today (Tuesday).
Eastbourne Police urged the public not to stop to pick up any money amid safety fears.
The notes were believed to have been fake £20 notes.
Eastbourne Police tweeted earlier today and said, “We are aware of £20 notes being found along the A22 stretch near Hailsham.
“Please be advised the notes are fake. Please do not stop along this stretch of road in an attempt to gather it; making potentially dangerous stops along a busy road may cause injury or collisions.”
