Man arrested following exposure incidents in front of Horsham schoolchildren

Police in Horsham are seeking witnesses to a series of sexual exposure incidents in the town.

On several afternoons between about 3pm to 3.30pm during February a man has been seen standing naked in a doorway in Macleod Road, Horsham, allegedly acting indecently whilst people, including schoolchildren from nearby schools, have been passing by.

PC Elaine Johnson said; “There is no suggestion that he has directly threatened or approached anyone, but this type of behaviour is very offensive and upsetting for anyone passing by. If you have seen any such incidents in that area please contact us via 101 or email [email protected] quoting serial 601 of 25/2. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.”

A 54-year old local man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual exposure and after being interviewed has been released on police bail until 9 April while enquiries continue.
