Man charged with St Leonards murder appears in court

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 51-year-old man whose body was found in a property in St Leonards.

Seyed Iman Tabarhosseini, 37, unemployed of no fixed address, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday (April 15).

He has been charged with the murder of 51-year-old Darren Alderton, from St Leonards, who was found dead inside a property in Magdalen Road on Thursday, April 8.

Officers launched a murder investigation and arrested a man in North London on Monday evening (April 12) in connection with the death.

On Wednesday (April 14) Tabarhosseini was charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court later that day, before appearing at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday.

The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that no bail application was made at Thursday’s hearing and Tabarhosseini will next appear in court on June 8.
