Sussex Police said officers received a noise complaint regarding the riding of motorbikes and concern for breaches of the Covid-19 rules and regulations at Slaugham Garden Nursery on Saturday (January 2).

A spokesman for the force said: “Officers attended the location just before 1.30pm, engaged and explained the current legislation with those in attendance, who then went home.”

One villager said there were about ten bikes. She added: “Worried villagers called the police who eventually gained access.

“The noise started at about 10.10am and went on for over two hours.”
