Cyclists get involved in clean-up for Queen in 1066 country

Cycling groups in 1066 country will be cleaning up the cycle routes as part of a national campaign to make Britain tidy for the Queen's birthday.

The Clean for the Queen events are being held nationally on March 4, 5 and 6, ready for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th.

Cyclists from all over the region will be litter-picking and sweeping paths along the seafront and in the towns and parks.

If you would like to help cycling groups Bexhill Wheelers, 1066 Cycle Group, Hastings Urban Bikes, Classic Cycle Group, CTC and Sustrans clean the 1066 country’s part of the National Cycle Network, join them at 10am on Friday, March 4, at Glyne Gap by the café on the beach.

Bring suitable clothing, gloves,footwear and plastic bag.
