Dancers wanted for charity jive night in Bognor

Dancers of all abilities are wanted to take part in a night of modern jive to raise money for charity.

Bognor's Just Jive Dance School is holding a special soiree on Saturday, September 26 at The Arena in Westloats Lane, Bognor Regis.

Founder and teacher of Just Jive, Paul Witheyman came up with the idea of a fundraising jive party as a new way to support meningitis charities, a cause he has championed ever since the death of his godson, 14-year-old Martin Finch, in 1999.

Paul said: "Since Martin's untimely death from meningitis we, his family and friends, have dedicated ourselves to raising money for research into the disease in the hope it will spare others from the horror of losing a child in this terrible way. "

The Just Jive party night will donate 1 from every ticket sold to meningitis research, plus all the proceeds from a raffle.

Dancing will be suitable for all ages and abilities and will kick off with a beginners' warm-up lesson at 8pm.

Tickets cost 8 and include light refreshments For tickets or information contact Paul on 01243 262323 or visit www.justjive.org.uk.
