Diesel spill causes major traffic chaos
TRAFFIC chaos hit Findon area on Friday following a serious collision between a motorcyclist and lorry caused a major diesel spillage.
The A280 Long Furlong road was closed for almost 12 hours by police following the accident at around 7.20am.
The fuel line on the lorry was damaged causing around 250 litres of diesel to spill on the carriageway. The surface of the road was so badly damaged that 223 metres had to be resurfaced , with work starting at 7pm and finishing at midnight, when the road was finally reopened.
