Disney/Pixar's Woody from Toy Story spotted in Rose Green

The cartoon character, alias the Rev Paul Kerley, greeted the members of this year's summer holiday club at Aldwick Free Church (Baptist).

The Showstoppers playscheme offered plenty to enjoy, including a daily talent show, crafts, singing, drama, stories, quizzes and fancy dress.

Mr Kerley, the church's minister, said: "It's about giving them the chance to learn about the Bible in a fun setting. So many of them nowadays don't know anything about the classic Bible stories."

At least 20 helpers, aged from older teenagers upwards, have ensured the playscheme is a success.
