Do you know a deserving pensioner?

The lunch is a traditional gesture at Sidley House and this year will be held on Sunday, December 7.

Readers are invited to nominate deserving pensioners by contacting centre administration manager Glenda Humphreys at Sidley Community Centre on 01424 212789 between 9.30am and 1.30pm on weekdays.

Glenda says: "Priority will be given to those living on their own, who perhaps do not have family to support them at this festive time.

"Where required, very limited door-to-door transport will be provided free of charge and wheelchairs and walking frames can be accommodated.

"Invitations will be sent out towards the end of November. Donations of suitable items for raffle prizes would be much appreciated."
