Don’t miss out on your chance to vote in Arun

RESIDENTS across Arun are to be sent reminders on voting changes and how it affects them.

People should have already received a notification from Arun District Council’s electoral services about the alterations to the procedure.

However, further reminders will be sent out later this month to all those that are yet to respond.

The change is the biggest to the voter registration system in a century, up until now, one person per household was able to register all the individuals living at an address but from June 2014 that changed.

Each individual is now responsible for registering themselves.

Most people who have previously registered to vote have automatically been transferred to the new register.

However, there are a number of people who need to re-register.

The process is relatively straightforward and can be completed here.

This is a new, more secure system and you will need to provide some personal information, your national insurance number and your date of birth.

Once you have completed registration do look out for confirmation to say you’re registered.

Don’t worry if you don’t have the relevant personal information or are unable to access the internet, there are other forms of identification and other ways of registering.

Arun’s electoral registration team can help and can be contacted on 01903 737616 or by email at [email protected].
