Driver arrested after death crash

A CAR driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a crash in which a motorcyclist was killed.

The collison happened on the A26 at Tarring Neville, near Newhaven, at 12.20pm yesterday (Thursday).

The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man from Newhaven, died at the scene from his injuries. He was riding a Kawasaki ER5.

The driver of the car, a Vauxhall Astra, was unhurt and arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
