Our Year 3 and 4 children visited Battle Abbey recently to re-enact the 1066 Battle of Hastings.
All of the children played their part as the Normans and Saxons headed to Senlac Hill to do battle, where William and his Norman army defeated Harold’s Saxons. There was a lot of amazing learning, and even though the children got very muddy they all had a fun day out!
Miss Rowland said she was, “Thrilled to see how engaged the children were with their learning. They were truly inspired”.
