Ellie's keeping her fingers crossed

Ellie Bradshaw, 21, of East Street, was picked as one of five British winners by the French fashion catalogue, La Redoute.

She has won a makeover, a photo shoot with a professional photographer and a leather-bound portfolio to display her pictures when she goes to see model agencies. As a finalist she has a chance at the grand prize - a year's contract with Metropolitan Models in Paris.

Ellie, a student at Sussex Downs College, became involved in the competition after reading about it in the catalogue.

'I am still waiting to hear who has become the overall winner and I'm keeping my fingers crossed,' she said.
