The Falling is a pyschological drama and black comedy written and directed by Carol Morley about a fainting fit that is gripping a girl’s school in 1969.

It has been described in the Guardian as ‘terrific film making’ with ‘deadpan humour and elegant compassion’.

Evie has been a student at the Bexhill based Theatre Workshop for many years and is represented by their associated agency.

She also travelled to the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals earlier this year with Youth Theatre Company ‘Hungry Wolf’ where the company received outstanding praise and 5 star reviews.

The Theatre Workshop’s Creative Director Lora Munro said: ‘We are all so proud of Evie’s success after the hard work she has put in at Hungry Wolf and our Advanced Academy, and look forward to seeing the film.”

It is not the first local success story for the Theatre Workshop.

Sedlescombe actress Hetti Bywater, who started at Theatre Workshop at the age of 11, went on to find TV stardom in EastEnders playing the role of young hell raiser Lucy Beale.

Hetti had previously won roles in other BBC dramas Casualty and Doctors and won a national modelling competition.
