An ‘accidental’ house fire in Mountfield was tackled by firefighters yesterday evening (Tuesday, August 2).
Three East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service fire engines from Broad Oak and Battle were sent to the fire in Vinehall Road at 6.40pm.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to tackle the fire, which was deemed to have been started accidentally, and gave safety advice to the occupier.
