FORD ECO-TOWN: Two promoters combine efforts

Confirmation has been given this week that the two promoters of a Ford eco-town have combined.

Ford Airfield Vision Group and Ford Enterprise Hub agreed to work together after a request from the government.

The government officials requested that the bidders produced a single refined bid to avoid unnecessary duplication.

Tony Dixon, one of the three individuals behind the Ford Enterprise Hub ideas, said: "The vision group and the enterprise hub will now work together to unify their complementary approaches in order to co-ordinate the production and submission of a single refined eco-town response to the department of communities and local government.

"The consultants appointed by the vision group will be responsible for undertaking all design and assessment work and technical studies required to complete the bid submission.

"The vision group will be the focal point and organiser of the community consultation exercises required as part of the bid submission process, with the support of the principals of Ford Enterprise Hub."
