Former Rother Council Chairman Ron Dyason Dies

Ron Dyason sadly passed away this morning.

Councillor Dyason represented Bexhill Collington Ward on Rother District Council and Bexhill King Offa Ward on East Sussex County Council.

He was first elected to Rother in May 1995 and served as Chairman in 2005/06.

He had a very distinguished career in local politics, having served as a councillor for over 50 years including terms of office at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, where he was Mayor, and as Leader of Berkshire County Council.

Derek Stevens the Council's Chief Executive said: "I am grateful for the time, effort and tremendous amount of experience Councillor Dyason brought to the Council and he will be greatly missed by his colleagues. Our thoughts at this sad time are with his wife Doreen and their family."
