Gardens show seven years of work

GARDEN lovers will be able to see the fruits of seven years labour when Linda and Stuart Harland open their Udimore garden to the public this weekend.

The garden, at Knellstone House, will be open from 2pm - 5.30pm on Sunday

Visitors will be able to view a pool courtyard garden, a parterre for cut flowers and produce, a wildlife pond, and a small wood there are many places for viewing the beautiful Brede Valley and out towards the sea.

These magnificent views mean that the garden is often attacked by strong wind at the same time as being eaten by the abundant wild life.

This opening is for the National Garden Scheme (the Yellow Book) and all proceeds go to charity.

There will be plants for sale and tea and home made cakes will be provided by the Friends of St. Mary’s, Udimore. Car parking is by kind permission of Robert Wheeler.
